NRTP Board Meeting #3 Minutes - 4/6/26

The meeting opened with a review of the last meeting’s minutes. A motion was made to adopt these minutes; it was unanimously voted to adopt.
Emily provided updates on fieldwork which is set to commence with a four-person crew at Canfield in CDA in the next week. The crew will receive training from the USFS before commencing the new three-mile mountain bike build planned for that area.
Further fieldwork efforts will commence at the beginning of May.
Emily also noted that approximately 107 hours have been matched for grant funding already, with more expected to follow.
The Board reviewed details of the first volunteer trailwork day of the season, scheduled for Saturday April 11 at Hayes Gulch in Sandpoint. The plan is to work on brushing, clearing of deadfall, and construction of a culvert to improve drainage on existing trails. Idagon has offered to donate smokies from Wood’s Meats and these will be served to volunteers after the work is complete.
Kenny provided an update on our social media presence. “We are growing!” The Board discussed ways to increase our presence and expand reach.
A discussion was had to designate an official signatory for NRTP’s finances. By unanimous vote, it was determined that this role would be fulfilled by the Board Treasurer.
Nick provided an update on some merchandise ideas that he collaborated with Sandcreek Custom Wear to generate. The Board reviewed these potential ideas and provided feedback and suggestions.
Emily noted that she is working with Scott Rulander to develop training and inventory protocols for field crews.
Lastly, the idea of a “creative partnership” document for public outreach was discussed, with Emily volunteering to take point on the generation of this item.
The Board reviewed action items and planned its next meeting for one month out on Monday May 4th.
A motion to adjourn was seconded and approved.
